The tanks are designed and constructed according to BS 4994:1987 Standards. The raw materials are so chosen for every work so that they meet the specific requirements of client and intended application of vessel. Our manufacturing method employs Contact Molding or hand lay-Up Molding process which is flexible enough to control the proper resin/glass ratio which is an important factor deciding the strength and life of tanks.
Design factors are included to cover such variables as deterioration of composite properties over a long period, the effect of temperature on the properties of the composite, superimposed loads like winds, loads imposed by workers during erection and operation, in case of buried tanks, soil conditions and expected loading like traffic are considered during the designing of vessels. As required, in water storage tanks, material to absorb ultraviolet rays to prevent algae growth inside are used. As per the design requirement GRP stiffeners are provided to ensure proper strength of the laminates.
